I enter as a Sagebrush virgin: vulnerable, shy, and oddly tantalized. There’s a legend about Sunday afternoons at the Sagebrush, and judging from the grinding on the dance floor I think it’s safe to say, not everyone likes it in the dark.
A lot of tans are out with their owners today. Deep, rich tans, barely concealed in bikini tops and mini skirts. Sinewy muscles swim underneath the tans and I think about the panicked plea my muscles gave me the last time I worked out. “What are you doing?” they said. “ Who told you this was a good idea?” I order a plate of nachos...
