GoDaddy.com, known for its provocative and alluring TV ads, is sponsoring Danica Patrick next season, company officials said in a press conference in Chicago Tuesday.
Patrick, the Indy Racing League's hottest racing star on and off the track, captured national attention last year when she took the lead at the Indianapolis 500, the sport's biggest race, and was named IRL's 2005 "Rookie of the Year."
"Danica thrives on competition, speed and power. She is edgy, innovative and fun," said GoDaddy chief executive and founder Bob Parsons. "She is redefining racing and is appealing, no doubt about it."
The 24-year-old speedster, a Scottsdale resident, is a marketer's dream, combining beauty and skill, characteristics not missed on her latest appearances on ABC's "The View," her presentation at the ESPY Awards, her June 2005 Sports Illustrated cover story and April 2003 pictorial in FHM magazine.

Danica Patrick adds instant credibility to a sponsor, said Steve MacDonald, executive vice president of the Scottsdale advertising and public relations firm the Martz Agency.
"Danica is one of those rare individuals who actually transcends the sport where her notoriety came from," MacDonald said. "She has a fan base that goes well beyond her racing popularity. Her appeal and credibility to GoDaddy goes beyond what any other celebrity coming out of the racing circuit would provide."
Parson said he expects to see Patrick starring in a GoDaddy commercial early next year. "People who know GoDaddy commercials will know what to expect with Danica," said GoDaddy spokesman Timoth Tait. "Something that's lots of fun and fits her personality. A Lot of energy, racy and very driven and energetic."
Next season, Patrick will drive the No. 7 Team Motorola car for Andretti Green Racing, the winningest team in the league's history. The company is owned by Michael Andretti, Kim Green and Kevin Savoree.
Currently, Patrick races for Rahal Letterman racing, owned by three-time CART champion Bobby Rahal and late-night TV personality David Letterman.
GoDaddy joins Motorola, XM Satellite, Argent Mortgage and Air Tran airways as chief sponsors. Patrick will drive a jet-black Motorola/AGR Indy Car with blue accents inspired by the wireless communication company's signature design.
