The Sanctuary Resort and Spa has been a favorite of mine for years. I very recently took several friends who have never been to Sanctuary before out for a night of cocktails, conversation and star gazing into the Arizona sky. From the incredible $20 Martini’s to one of the best Tequila shots out there, the $50 Herradura. We spared no expense, we looked sexy and fabulous and a good time was had by all…an even better time for some.

GoDaddy.com, known for its provocative and alluring TV ads, is sponsoring Danica Patrick next season, company officials said in a press conference in Chicago Tuesday.
Patrick, the Indy Racing League's hottest racing star on and off the track, captured national attention last year when she took the lead at the Indianapolis 500, the sport's biggest race, and was named IRL's 2005 "Rookie of the Year."
"Danica thrives on competition, speed and power. She is edgy, innovative and fun," said GoDaddy chief executive and founder Bob Parsons. "She is redefining racing and is appealing, no doubt about it."
The 24-year-old speedster, a Scottsdale resident, is a marketer's dream, combining beauty and skill, characteristics not missed on her latest appearances on ABC's "The View," her presentation at the ESPY Awards, her June 2005 Sports Illustrated cover story and April 2003 pictorial in FHM magazine.

Turns out there's more to denim than debating the relative merits of Acne vs. A.P.C. With Jeans: A Cultural History of an American Icon, James Sullivan, pop culture writer for the San Francisco Chronicle, has even managed to wring a whole book out of the topic. Among the many interesting facts it contains: Jeans were once referred to as "Fornication Pant's": Our interest piqued, we asked the author for a few other similar terms - and the story behind that unfortunate if—let's face it—totally true moniker.
"Fornication Pant's": The term used by Mormon leader Brigham Young, back in the 1830s, to describe the new style of denim work pants featuring front-and-center button closures. Before this provocative innovation, men's pants fastened down the sides.
"Wack Slack's" Back when there was a lot of hype around the Seattle music scene, a reporter from The New York Times called a marketing person in Seattle and asked her to describe grunge culture. The marketing person told him that grunge had its own slang and that old ripped jeans were known as 'wack slacks.' The Times printed it, not knowing that the marketing person had made it all up."

Faster than a speeding bullet, comic book superheroes are coming to a post office near you. Batman and Superman, Wonder Woman, Supergirl and a half dozen other superheroes will star on new postage stamps being released Thursday. Well to celebrate Independance Day I have no concrete plans. I'd say for me on this fine 105' degree day, I am a fly by the seat of my pants partier. With my new black eye and the 9 stitches in my face and lip...some might think I have been celebrating for days...I wished...Just a simple swimming pool accident..or is it...HMMM? Inquiring minds will want to know when they see me if I was boxing with a shark or fell off the diving board. None the less, whether it be a fireworks celebration, a pool party, going to the bar with friends or just hanging out at home with family...make sure to salute and thank our country's fine men and women serving in the military, on USA soil and far away...Happy 4th of July America!
